I love them. They have a blue sole and basically, for anyone who doesn't know me well, this colour blue is sort of my personal trademark. I am almost always wearing this colour. My love of this colour has been going on for over a decade, so it is serious.
Now, as the title of this post implies, what I actually wanted to point out are My Laces. I got both white and blue laces in the pack and could not decide. White is plain but helps display the blue on the shoe better and the blue is my favorite colour - how could I abandon it in the box? I also really hate lacing my shoes more than once, so whatever I decided upon it had to be permanent.
As you can see, I decided to use both laces on both shoes. I also went with a girly bow at the bottom, which looks unique and funky, and then I did a symmetrical fish bone lace with the two colours so that when the two shoes are on my feet it looks like they are mirror images of each other. I decided to post them for the following three reasons:
- I love how the laces look and wanted to share them with everyone
- I thought if anyone else has ever encountered a similar mini-dilemma regarding how to lace their shoes (two colours - how to choose?) then this may be a reasonable solution
- I am fairly proud of my creativity and wanted to boast a little (yes, I know when I am boasting even if it is over something as ridiculous as shoelaces)
So feel free to steal this style and make variations of your own. Guys, remove the bottom bow and just do the fish bone for the masculine version ;-)
