A Great Book Meme

I rarely do these things, but this one I was curious about, so I am going to participate.

This is aA great fun meme found at Tails of Terror from the Black Lagoon!

Here's how it works:

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline (or mark in a different color) the books you LOVE
4) Reprint this list in your blog so we can try and track down these people who’ve read 6 and force books upon them ;-)

The premise of this exercise is that the National Endowment for the Arts apparently believes that the average American has only read 6 books from the list below.

I would definitely like to say that there are many fiction book I've read that are not on this list, I am a huge fan of science fiction and there was not enough on this list. IF anyone is interested, my favorite book EVER was:

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

And in the realm of non-fiction, it is all I read all the time. I read volumes of published non-fiction each year and am myself a published non-fiction writer (in scientific journals).
