Playboy has decided to auction 17 original pieces of artwork and illustrations from their magazine on Oct. 15th at Heritage Auction Galleries. The show, titled The Art of Beauty, has already begun taking online bids. Among the most exciting pieces featured are two Alberto Vargas' and one by LeRoy Neiman.
The last time that pieces from Playboy's collection were auctioned was in 2003 for the magazine's 50th anniversary. At that time Hugh Hefner said that the company doesn't like to do auctions often because the auctions would "stop being special."Well great job Heff - this auction surely is something special!
